This site is an archive for my collaborations both past and present.
I became a fine artist because I believed that the creative imagination was the rich center of human experience. I still believe it is the place to go for innovation and the betterment of our lives. I turned to illustration for the opportunity to collaborate with others, embrace more media, and to reach more people. I have found that collaboration contains the most marvels, is the most democratic and satisfying means of producing art. One gets to be creator and appreciative audience at once. Discovery is acknowledged as a process from which inventors spring as well as inventions; we all get to participate, we are none of us the sole proprietors of discovery. Now I am a culture worker, community builder and character educator. I work mostly with Queer Youth in Newark, New Jersey and am presently developing a public mural curriculum which doesn’t employ a Lead Artist. I am where I belong.
